Hello and welcome! I am so glad you are here. This is my first blog for my new website “Conversation with Paula”.

To be honest, I am excited yet a bit nervous about blogging again. As you probably well know, when you start any new project, there is a bit of fear that creeps into your mind if you will succeed or not. In coaching, that voice is called the saboteur.

But never mind. I’ll start regardless of how I feel. It is being consistent in whatever you do which quiets the mind. In other words, your habits, good or bad, keep the saboteur at bay.

This website came about when I sat down and asked myself what it is that I really love to do. The answer came so naturally and easily: having meaningful conversations.

More important, I enjoy connecting with people through teaching English and coaching. Since English is the international language of travel and commerce, my job is to teach and coach people to become more confident speakers and writers.

What does it mean to have a meaningful conversation?

It means to share ideas and subject matter that are relevant and current to the person or group whom you are addressing. It is like digging a little deeper into a conversation that excites or interests you. In this case, we will be discussing things relating to language learning and coaching. We do that by asking questions, discussing problems, and giving feedback.

What is the blog about?

In this blog, I will cover a variety of topics regarding improving your language skills and coaching. I will give tips and ideas that will make you better writers, presenters, and speakers of English, including business English. I will also cover my favorite books on these topics, along with coaching topics, inspiring stories, current events, and other tidbits.

Most of all, I want to have a bit of fun sharing content with you.

I will be blogging once every two weeks. Please check your inbox that it does not go into your spam.

Over to You, my dear reader….

I’d love to hear about some of the topics that interest you. Are you a reader? Which books do you read in English? Pop over to the website and leave a comment.

See you next time.

Paula
